            Talent searches identify, assess, and recognize students with outstanding mathematical and/or verbal reasoning abilities. Students qualify for involvement in the talent searches by scoring at or above the 97th percentile on a nationally normed, standardized aptitude or achievement test.

    At this site you will find loads of information on Duke University's own talent search.  This site gives you the scoop on how to try to get to the top as Duke picks out the very best for itself.  If you want to go to Duke here's your chance to show them what you're made of.

    This site nicely defines what a talent search is, and how to get into one.  It has information on the talent search: grades 7-8, 5-6, and 2-4.

    This site offers a practice test and will diagnose you on your score.  It will familiarize you with the PSAT, and help you improve on your weak areas.
