Tail A Thon

The student Relay for Life Club will be sponsoring the first annual “Tail”-A-Thon, where Ms. Askew and a few courageous students will be donating 8 – 10 inches of their hair to two important organizations. Locks of Love is a nonprofit organization that provides hairpieces to financially disadvantaged children suffering from hair loss due to cancer, and Pantene Beautiful Lengths is an organization that started to help women who have lost their hair as they fight cancer.

We need YOU to do two things to help in this GREAT cause. First, you may decide you would like to donate your hair to one of the organizations. If so, see Mr. or Mrs. Frantz or Ms. Askew for a permission form. Be sure you inform friends and family too! There may be someone in your community who would want to donate their hair!

Second, BRING in the MONEY! For every $100 raised, Ms. Askew will cut an inch of her hair, up to 8 inches. Take your money to lunch and fill the milk jugs with Ms. Askew’s picture. You may even want to start a collection jar in your homeroom. The money raised will be donated to the American Cancer Society.

The CUT DAY will be Friday October 5^th from 7:00 – 9:00 a.m. in the Crews Gym. Thank you in advance for supporting this great cause.
