Spreadsheets are a very powerful tool that allows students to understand complicated word problems. They allow students to "spread" out data for manipulation, analysis, and reflection. Below are many examples that you can use to teach students how to use a spreadsheet as a tool to think at a higher level in order to solve real life word problems.
