Your Name: Melanie Howell

Where were you born? and/or grow up? 
 I was born  in Atlanta, Georgia and have lived in Snellville since I was 1 year   old.
What is your favorite movie? 
 My favorite movie is Top Gun.
What is your favorite television show? 
 My favorite television show is ER.
Do you have a pet?  If so, what kind and what is its name? 
 I have a cat named Mollie.
Why did you pick teaching as your career? 
 I chose to be a teacher because I wanted to work with young people.
What is your favorite part of teaching? 
 I like working one on one with students.
What were your hobbies as an adolescent? 
 When I was growing up, I loved singing!
During your middle school years, what grade level did you enjoy the most and why? 
 I loved seventh grade the most because I made many life-long friends then.
What other places have you taught? 
 I have also taught at Five Forks Middle School.
What is your favorite college memory and what college did you go to? 
 I went to North Georgia College.  My favorits memory was being in an    Opera!
How many years have you been a teacher? 
 This is my fifth year teaching.
Who inspired you to teach and why? 
 My mother inspired me to teach because she is a wonderful teacher.
What was your favorite subject in school? 
 My favorite subject in school was science because it was fun!
What is your degree in? 
 I have a Bachelor's and a Master's in Middle Grades Education.
What are some of your hobbies? 
 I love to read, paint, and sew.
What is your favorite food and/or restaurant? 
 I love to go to Frontera!
Where did you go to middle school? 
 I went to Snellville Middle School.
