SIXTH
GRADE:
In sixth grade we focus
on understanding the elements of art and how they can be
used for artistic expression. Students develop drawing skills
using perspective and other space techniques. They experiment with
a variety of media and techniques. See AKS below.

EIGHTH GRADE:
Eighth graders work
with the principles of design to explore the critical thinking that is
involved in producing art. Students are encouraged to look closer
at artworks and to use art criticism to judge other's and their own
artwork. Students work individually and in groups to critique.
In addition, students explore various media and techniques as they study
artists and art movements history. See AKS:

CLUB:
Art Club is open
to all students. We meet the first Thursday of each month from
four until five p.m. in the art room. Please see Mrs. Gilpin or
Mrs. LeMaster for an agenda of the year's activities.
